Stucco, Wood Floors & Tile

Today the "brown coat" layer of stucco went on. What a mess! Not their work, but all the extra that drops and brushes off as they go. They won't be back to do the final coat for at least 3 weeks. The final coat should be pretty smooth.

These photos really show the amount of things going on and the amount of stuff everywhere. The wood floors are almost done already. They're really "kicking ass" as Max says (our project manager). Here's David cutting tile, a stucco guy working...the floor guys have their chop saw set up out here, too.

The green square resting on the fireplace in the photo below is the sample they made of our green color for the outside stucco. There's also an orange-ish one. They matched our color samples perfectly. We hope we'll like our chosen colors because the dark color of the brown coat looks good, too.

A calming sunset to finish off the day. Thanks, Gaia!

I'm sure your stucco colors will look great. To me the brown stucco looks a bit blah. :)
A biting wind here in Madison today!

Yes-the brown's definitely much more low key. Our colors will make it colorful! :)

What a hive of activity! I agree the brighter colors will look better, give the house more energy.
