After Day Eight

We went up yesterday (Saturday) to show someone our old Jotol wood stove that we're selling. We deliberated a lot about some of the areas that are still not figured out as far as how to transform what's there to what we want.

The hardy panel is on site now—laying on the ground in front. I think they begin doing the foundation cement work next week. There won't be alot but there is a section being added right in the center of the house where they put the hardy panel (a rectangular steel thing with really long thick threaded metal bolts). I'll try to take a photo of that.

Part of the back deck has been removed now. You can see the pressure tank for our well (the blue tank). We have decided to go ahead and put in the water tank during this project instead of waiting. The pressure tank will be moved over to where the tank will be which will be straight over to the other corner of the property at the top of the lot.

The new deck will be smaller in back and be about the size that it is in this photo. We're putting in a cement planter/pond around where the jog is now:

Standing in the living room, if you can believe it! There will be new rafters in the living room and dining room that are 4 x 8s instead of what was there—4 x 6s. The rest of the exposed rafters will stay the same size, but one will added between each one to make them on 2' centers instead of 4' centers.

This will be one solid house!

This is Atea's old room and my studio:

Getting a good airing out...

Yes we will have an in-wall model in a special fireplace on the wall facing the back.
