The begonia displaying its beauty...

Mika & I walked down to the undeveloped south side of the property to see the lupins. I have not seen these growing anywhere else around here...

Some wild creature has passed by here and left its scent. Notice how puffed up she is...

The view from below...

Our newly planted dogwood. Unfortunately the unsightly fencing has to be there to protect it from nibbling deer..

Waterily leaves have reached the surface...

Interesting textures on the stucco wall...

All gorgeous pictures! Wow!
Did you know you can put your fence flat on the ground, maybe slightly elevated, and that will often be enough to keep the deer away? They don't like walking on a strange and variable surface. Same idea as growing pumpkin vines to keep them out, they just don't like walking on them. See this page: http://naturalcuresfor.org/
What a great collection of photos. I love the "view from below" - never seen that perspective. Mika walks with you? Very un-catlike ;-)
Thanks for that suggestion, Les. Not sure if I have enough length of fence, but I'll see. Yeah, TC, Mika follows me everywhere...she's my follower. :)
Zach used to sometimes follow me on dog walks, down Marshall Pkwy, anyway. Off to the side, he was very smart about cars.
