I rescued a honeybee from the pond and had a chance to get up-close while she dried herself.
I've been trying to get a good photo of these iridescent bees but they don't sit still very often.
Found another snake on the deck. Mika may have brought it up. I shooed it off and it seemed to be unhurt.
I won't post the little tiny spider, since that may not be so appreciated. Snakes aren't either, but ...

All lovely! And you don't have to skip the spiders for me ;-) I see them on Margie's blog all the time (she seems to have a particular affinity for them) and they don't bother me. What kind of snake? (Very cool!)
I did do it for you my dear. I think it's a baby gopher snake!
Beautiful pics. I hate seeing insects drowned in Pippa's pool, always happy when I can rescue them (except for Yellow Jackets!).
