Traipsing About

Guess it's time for a new post. I'm going back to focusing on the whole place since the house is basically done.

I went out to see and smell the wild things - one of my favorite things in life.

I love the color combos of the grasses this time of year when they're beginning to turn "golden" but still have some green left.

The weather is scrumptious...unusually moist combined with the warmth and all manner of things are busy growing in abundance.

Something about shadows on the road just appeals to me.

Mom - I posted this next photo for you. The same day we talked a few weeks ago and you read me the poem by the Native American woman about picking wild strawberries, I found these growing on the property! Never seen them before, I assume they're wild.

Rattlesnake grass or quaking grass...

That's too bad, I see it's an invasive non-native.

Yes it is unfortunatley...but it it is attractive.

Lovely shots. I, too, LOVE shadows on the road - except when I'm driving and the light and dark is very difficult to see in.

What's the lion (I don't know the name of that man/lion creature)?
