Whenever we are at the house at dusk, we see a chickadee that comes inside to roost. So sweet! She/he has been doing this for months now. At first she used the spaces in the arched window framing, and last time she visited us upstairs. Not sure where she ended up, but there are plenty of places to snuggle in for the night. Once the doors are all in and she can't get inside, I'll miss her. And I'll bet she'll be sad to lose her luxurious hotel.
Yesterday (Saturday) they delivered all of the sheet rock. It's all in 12 foot lengths, which I haven't seen before. The 2 fellows who delivered it did a good job. They brought loads up the driveway with a fork lift, and had to build a raised ramp from the arched doorway to the back door, since the deck isn't in yet. They did some amazing maneuvering.

This is the lower entry below and my studio above. You can see the ledgers for the porch and porch roof:

Thanks for a new post, CN. What a sweet story about the chickadee.
Oh, this is SO exciting! How different it looks. Your chickadee story makes me think that you ought to have a little birdie painted on the stucco, like Geninne.
